Financial Assistance Application
2009
In an attempt to facilitate post secondary enrollment, the South Bend Chapter Indiana Black Expo (SBCIBE) is awarding financial assistance. Qualifying students must meet minimum requirements listed below to be eligible for assistance.
Eligibility:
- Graduating seniors and/or students currently enrolled in an accredited post secondary college or vocational college
- Graduate students are eligible to apply
- St. Joseph County Resident
- Minimum 2.0 grade point average
Application Process:

- Deadline May 31, 2009
- Awards based on the following point system
- Applicant’s need
- SBCIBE membership status
- Clarity of personal need statement based on content, grammar, sentence structure, and punctuation
Award Notification:
Notification by mail or telephone
- Upon notification recipient must provide proof of enrollment
- Maximum award amount is $500 and is contingent on the annual availability of funds from IBE License Plate sales
- Recipients will be notified by June 11, 2009 and awards will be given at the Juneteenth Celebration on June 20, 2009.
