Kwanzaa Celebration

The South Bend chapter of Indiana Black Expo, Inc. along with the Northern Indiana Center for History and the St. Joseph County Public Library, will host a two-day Citywide Kwanzaa Celebration. The celebration will begin on Monday, December 28 at 6pm at the Center of History.

Highlights for the day will include an explanation of Kwanzaa principles and symbols. Students will perform their winning presentations from the Kwanzaa competition, which were held previously. Monetary awards will also be distributed.

This celebration will continue on Wednesday, December 30 at 6pm at the St. Joseph County Public Library, Main Branch, located at 304 S. Main Street. At this time community elders will be recongized. Local drummers adn talents along with the Karamu (a food feast) will culminate the evening's festivities.
